The Stradic SW from Shimano is a saltwater-compatible heavy-duty spinning reel. Designed to be both low to mid-cost, the Stradic SW now includes Infinity Drive, which reduces friction around the main shaft and pinion gear by 30%. This is achieved by supporting the pinion gear with two bearings, resulting in a smoother spin and increased reeling power—previously only available in the Stella SW model.The reel also features X-Protect in the line roller and stopper bearings, which prevents water from entering the internal structure. The Hagane body combines a strong yet lightweight aluminum metal body on the reel foot with a reinforced plastic body cover.
